Bio:
Laurel Creech is the Director of Team Green and air talent on WRLTLightning 100. She created Team Green in 1997 and continues to leadthis environmental/ service organization. Team Green’s mission is toengage the community into the outdoors so that each individual willtake that extra step to respect the outdoors and make personal changesin their lifestyles. Team Green’s goal is to involve all abilitylevels, ages, and economic backgrounds to include the largestcross-section of the community. Last month Team Green was awarded theTennessee Wildlife Federation’s President’s Award for theirconservation efforts in 2007. Laurel serves on many environmentalboards including the Nashville Earth Day Festival, TennesseeEnvironmental Council, Cumberland River Compact, Cumberland RegionTomorrow, and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Music City Moves as wellas advising the Mayor's Office and Metro Parks & Greenways ondevelopment projects and events. This past August Laurel was selectedas the finalist for the Chamber of Commerce's Nashville EmergingLeader's award in community service and non-profit work. She is also agraduate of the Young Leader’s Council (YLC) and awarded the MetroPublic Health Department 's Community Public Health Hero of the Yearand Mike Curb's Achievement in Radio Award for Outstanding CommunityService.
